Ailanthus Webworm Moth (Yponomeutidae Attevinae Atteva punctella - )

Four adults were attracted to night lights of various spectra at a school in Beachwood, NJ, USA on August 17, 2004.  Larval foodplant is listed as the Ailanthus (Tree of Heaven) tree native to China.  The range in the USA is extensive and basically covers the eastern seaboard and southern states.  More information may be found at BugGuide.net
